MRT Sg Buloh - Kajang Line: What to Expect? [Review]

Hi guys! :D Hope you guys are doing great. For this post, I decided to write in English because I thought it might help both Malaysians and tourist to get some insights or ideas about Mass Rapid Transit (MRT). Oke, here we go. :)

MRT Pasar Seni Station (Underground/Subway)
MRT (Sg Buloh - Kajang) was officially launched last Monday on 17 July 2017. Previously, they already launched the first phase of MRT; from Sg Buloh to Semantan on December last year. As at 17 July 2017, they open all the stations from Sg Buloh to Kajang. And guess what? You can enjoy free rides on the launching day! *too late already. >.<"* There's more; you will also get 50% discount of all train tickets until 31 August 2017. This offer includes all train lines under rapidKL; LRT Sri Petaling Line, LRT Ampang Line, LRT Kelana Jaya, Monorel and of course MRT Sg Buloh - Kajang Line.

I went for a ride for two consecutive days; on 17 and 18 July. I've always been a public transport enthusiastic from the beginning and it might have different opinion or perspective from others. But here's what I feel and experienced. :D
MRT Station: Ticket Entrance
MRT Station: Lobby
On 17 July, obviously the coaches was really packed. >.<" Because it's free and everyone was very excited to try MRT and they even bring their family together; small kids, grandparents, etc. *Awww~ So sweet. Bonding time.* So, most of the time, you need to stand. The same things happen all day long, even though it's already late. I didn't manage to cover the whole route as my parents already exhausted. >.<"

Then, the next day, I decided to ride MRT again. The first thing I notice is that, they didn't manage to clean the newly opened station thoroughly as there's lots of dust everywhere in the walkway; no worries, there's worker working to clean it up. Then, my journey began. It takes me 40 minutes from Sg Jernih Station to Muzium Negara Station (subway/underground); which is KL Sentral. Almost the same duration from Kajang Station to KL Sentral via KTM. From MRT Muzium Negara Station to KL Sentral, you need to walk and take escalator; be cautious, the escalators is a bit faster compared to the normal escalator. And if you have fear of heights, you might need to calm down because some of the escalator is a bit long and high.

From what I see, the MRT designs is very similar to public transportation in South Korea. At some point, it makes me feel like i'm travelling outside Malaysia. Hahahahaha. Some stations have different platform designs; i think they want to fit the image of that station's image. For example, Merdeka Station; they have some mural about Rukun Negara for patriotism vibes.

MRT Coaches
Family Mart @MRT TTDI
Owh, not to mention, the coaches is super wide; it can fit a lot of people. For those who were in love with Family Mart, you can also stop at TTDI Station to grab that famous matcha (green tea) ice-cream. It taste exactly like the one that I have in Japan. I'm serious! There's also bento box and onigiri if you're craving for one. :)

MRT Feeder Bus: T819
They also provide feeder bus services for the users to access other attraction that is not within walking distance. This feeder bus interval is every 30 minutes. You can find the details of specific feeder bus just after exiting the station. If you feel unsure, you can always ask the MRT personnel. :)

Actually there's a lot of awesome things about MRT but I think I might keep it secret so that you guys can go and get some awesome experience in the process! It's not fun and exciting if I reveal it now right? Have fun. Yeay!
