Review: Grab PayLater

I've been using Grab (especially GrabFood) for a while now ever since covid welcomed itself into our life. About a month ago, Grab introduced new scheme called "PayLater". To be honest, I'm a bit sceptical as I didn't know how it works. So, being myself, I decided to try and well, it's been great so far! 😎

Spend First, Pay Later
To me, this "PayLater" scheme is more like having a credit card. You get to spend it first, but pay for it later. You can either pay it one shot (lump sum by due date - auto deduct from your linked card/GrabPay balance) or partially. It really depends on how you want to manage your money.

Track Your Expenses
Using this "PayLater" actually helps you to track your spending details (consolidated by month). This way, you can see those transaction and plan your budget accordingly.

Get Awesome Promotions/Rebates
You can get rebates/promotions from various merchant. This only available if you use "PayLater". It's a good way to spend and save some money!

No Hidden Fee
Only pay for you order. No hidden fee.

Choose, Order, PayLater!
Found something that you want? But your current GrabPay balance is low/insufficient or/and the shop are almost closed? No worries, continue with PayLater instead! It's hassle free. You can pay the fee/amount after the transaction complete.

Extra Notes
- If your outstanding is more than RM50 (after minus off the GrabWallet balance), the app will allow you to top-up exact amount of outstanding (up to cent). For example, your outstanding is RM123.45 and your GrabWallet balance is RM5.67, the application will allow you to top-up exact RM123.45-RM5.67 which is RM117.78. You don't have to round it up to RM118 (app limitation).
